Le Conseil d’affaires pour l’Afrique et investir en Afrique tiendront une manifestation commune, destinée à mettre en évidence les perspectives et les possibilités futures du Ghana pour le secteur privé. Le Ghana est la deuxième plus grande économie ouest-africaine, se classant 13 sur 54 pour les Opportunités économiques, selon le rapport de l’indice Mo Ibrahim 2015. L’économie du Ghana devrait ralentir pour la quatrième année consécutive à un taux de croissance estimé à 3,9%, en raison d’une grave crise énergétique, du fardeau de la dette intérieure et extérieure. Le Ghana et le Royaume-Uni ont une longue histoire de relations commerciales bilatérales et le Ghana cherche à approfondir et améliorer l’environnement des affaires pour promouvoir la croissance et le développement du secteur privé.
Le conférencier d’honneur sera Mme Mawuena PDG Trebarh du Centre de promotion des investissements au Ghana, nommée en Février 2013 par SE Président John Mahama. Mme Mawuena Trebarh va discuter de la stratégie du Ghana comme une destination compétitive pour les marchés internationaux et la façon dont les partenariats public-privé pourraient développer de futurs projets d’infrastructure. Mme Mawuena Trebrah sera accompagnée par Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, ministre de l’Energie et du Pétrole et Fifi Fiavi Franklin Kwete, ministre de l’alimentation et l’agriculture.

The Business Council for Africa and Invest In Africa will be holding a joint event, to highlight Ghana’s future prospects and opportunities for the private sector to thrive. Ghana is the second largest West African economy, ranking 13 out of 54 for Sustainable Economic Opportunity according to the 2015 Mo Ibrahim index report. Ghana’s economy is expected to slow down for the fourth consecutive year to an estimated 3.9% growth rate, owing to a severe energy crisis, unsustainable domestic and external debt burdens. Ghana and the UK have a long history of bilateral trade relationship and Ghana is seeking to deepen and improve the business environment to promote the growth and development of the private sector.
The keynote speaker will be Ms Mawuena Trebarh CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, appointed in February 2013 by H.E. President John Mahama. Ms Mawuena Trebarh will discuss Ghana’s strategy as a competitive destination for international markets and how Public-Private Partnerships could develop future infrastructure projects. Also Mawuena Trebrah will be accompanied by Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, Minister of Energy and Petroleum and Fifi Fiavi Franklin Kwete, Minister of Food & Agriculture.
