Le second Sommet Africain Annuel sur l’Énergie en Afrique ‘Powering Africa: Summit’ aura lieu du 27 au 29 janvier 2016 à l’hôtel Marquis Marriott à Washington, D.C.
Le ‘Powering Africa : Summit’ (www.poweringafrica-summit.com) est une plate-forme qui vise à examiner l’importance et la vigueur des partenariats stratégiques entre les États-Unis et l’Afrique.
L’objectif est celui d’apporter l’électricité à l’Afrique à travers la présentation des individus qui travaillent d’arrache-pied pour réaliser ce résultat. Lors de l’édition de l’an dernier, le Sommet était déjà complet deux semaines avant le début de la conférence. Les membres du gouvernement américain liés à l’initiative du Président Obama ‘Power Africa’, notamment l’USAID et ‘Power Africa’ ainsi que les Ministres de l’Énergies et des Finance africains y ont assisté.

Le Sommet a démontré la valeur des partenariats stratégiques qui permettent d’atteindre l’objectif du développement énergétique africain par le biais de la mise en valeur des hautes personnalités qui ont contribué à la réalisation des projets énergétiques.
C’est pourquoi cette année, ‘Powering Africa : Summit’ sera focalisé sur le secteur privé tant américain qu’africain, notamment sur les leçons tirées de l’efficacité avec laquelle le secteur privé conclut les accords d’investissement. La réunion permettra ainsi un dialogue constructif et engagé entre les parties prenantes et les développeurs, les cadres exécutifs des sociétés d’électricité africaines et les fonds d’investissements américains.

The second annual Powering Africa: Summit will take place from 27-29th January 2016 at the Marriott Marquis hotel in Washington, D.C.
The Summit is a platform to examine the power of strategic partnerships between the USA and Africa to achieve the goal of bringing power to Africa, showcasing the individuals working hard to achieve this aim. If you are investing or looking to invest into Africa, this is the meeting which will connect you to the critical American and African decision-makers from the public and private sectors.
Last year’s Summit, which sold out two weeks’ prior to the start, was attended by the individuals behind the US Government’s Power Africa initiative including USAID and Power Africa, as well as African energy and finance ministers from across the continent.

The Summit effectively demonstrated the power of strategic partnerships in collectively achieving the goal of bringing power to Africa, and showcased the individuals working hard to achieve this aim.
This year’s Summit will focus on the private sector both in USA and Africa, and what lessons can be learned from the efficiency with which the sector concludes investment agreements. The meeting will enable dialogue between key stakeholders and developers, chiefly heads of African utilities, US-based private equity houses and wealth management establishments.
